Microsoft is showing significant market share gains in US Search through February 2011. ComScore reported that there was a 1.1% increase in search market share for Bing in January as compared to December of 2010. Additionally, Yahoo grabbed .1% more of the space.
Microsoft’s Bing powers the search results delivered by Yahoo. Therefore Microsoft is now controls 29.2% of all US search results. The growth was at the expense of Google which saw a sharp 1.1% reduction from December to January. Microsoft is slowing making gains and is nearing the 30% mark.
